On 28-29 March, Peter Finnie and Sam Jones will be attending the Colloquium on Artificial Intelligence 2019, jointly hosted in Turin by AIPPI, FICPI, and the AIPLA. This two day event dedicated to AI will include panel discussions and presentations that have a focus on intellectual property issues associated with AI.
Peter will be speaking on a panel on the second day of the event to provide an overview of how the legal system in Europe and elsewhere may need to adapt to AI-implemented innovations, and perhaps more interestingly, the protection of AI-generated innovations in circumstances where AI is used to provide insights for potentially patentable inventions. IP issues will include non-human inventorship, sufficiency of disclosure, and obviousness.
If you have any questions on patenting an AI related invention, or regarding our involvement in the Colloquium, then please contact Peter Finnie, via firstname.lastname@example.org or Sam Jones, via email@example.com.
