Heading up the trade mark paralegal team, Lisa is responsible for day-to-day supervision of the paralegal team, focusing on efficiency, service delivery, quality of work, training and development.

Supporting the firm’s trade mark team, Lisa has particular experience in handling assignment and other recordal programmes, carrying out research, due-diligence and informal clearance checks, as well as setting up and monitoring customs applications.  She also assists the attorneys with prosecution work, drafting specifications, providing cost estimates, portfolio reviews and advising on the best filing strategies according to each client’s specific needs.

Lisa joined GJE in 2011.  Prior to this she worked for another firm of trade mark attorneys and also undertook an in-house secondment to one of the world’s leading wine and spirit companies.

She completed the CITMA Administrator’s course in 2010 (now known as the Paralegal course) and completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property in 2014 at Bournemouth University.  Lisa is also a Fellow of the Institute of Paralegals and an active voluntary contributor to CITMA, forming part of the Paralegal Committee, Paralegal Course Working Group and Paralegal Events Working Group.  She also assisted in creation of CITMA’s Paralegal Competency Standards and the online Introduction to Trade Mark Administration & Formalities Course.

Outside of work Lisa enjoys creating memories with her young family, reading and indoor cycling.
