Claire graduated with a BSc in Biochemistry from University of Leeds, remaining there to complete a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology.
Claire is working towards full qualification as a UK and European Patent Attorney. She also holds the postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary, University of London.
Claire joined Gill Jennings & Every in 2016.
Claire has a degree in Medical Biochemistry and went on to complete a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Leeds. Her doctoral work focussed on developing chemical methods for the incorporation of non‑standard amino acids into enzymes to engineer new activities. Before joining GJE, Claire worked as a post-doctoral research fellow in the field of protein engineering.
Through working with many of the senior patent attorneys at GJE, Claire has gained experience in patent drafting and prosecution of both European and foreign patent applications. She has worked with a range of companies from start-ups and university spin outs to larger pharmaceutical and biotech firms.
In her spare time Claire enjoys baking and has even won GJE’s “Star Baker” award. She also enjoys exercise and regularly attends a gymnastics club and aerial classes.
