Registered patent agent in India.

Deepak graduated with a first class degree in Electrical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi University. His coursework included majors in electrical machines and power generation and distribution systems. Alongside, Deepak also completed a graduate program in software development receiving training in programming (C++, Java, .NET, and SQL) with emphasis on web technologies.

Career History

Deepak initially started his career as a software developer specialising in database programming at a leading multinational software consulting firm.

He joined the patent profession in 2005. For over five years, he worked with several Fortune 100/500 companies while being employed at an IP research and consulting firm. In 2010, Deepak joined the in-house patent department at one of the largest engineering companies in Europe and afterwards, in 2013, joined a prominent multinational IP firm at its office in Dubai to head its patent practice in the Middle East and Africa region.

Deepak joined Gill Jennings & Every in 2016.

Deepak is a registered patent agent in India and is working towards full qualification as a UK and European patent attorney.

Deepak is experienced in various aspects related to intellectual property asset creation and management. His practice includes preparation and prosecution of patent applications in US, EP, Middle East & Africa and Asia. He has significant experience in handling large-sized multi-jurisdictional portfolios. He also specialises in patent advisory work including patentability, freedom to operate, infringement, and invalidity opinions, and patent portfolio management. His practice spans across a diverse range of technologies including computer science and software, electronics, electrical engineering, applied physics, semiconductor fabrication, renewable and clean energy, and medical devices.

Deepak works with a range of clients including individual inventors and start-ups, universities, and technology firms in the region advising them on strategy for protection and enforcement worldwide. He also advises a global clientele in regards to patent protection and enforcement in Europe.
