Esmé graduated from Durham University with a Master of Chemistry degree (MChem), with her final year research project relating to tridentate ligands and luminescent complexes.
Esmé joined Gill Jennings & Every in 2018, having begun her training in 2015 at another firm of patent attorneys.
Esmé works in the applied chemistry, pharmaceutical and biotechnology fields with particular experience working on inventions related to small molecules, cancer therapeutics, food chemistry and laundry technology.
She works with a variety of clients ranging from start-ups to multinational companies. Esmé has a particular interest in working with start-up companies and developing an IP strategy in alignment to the development of the company to ensure its potential value and assets are maximised.
Esmé aims to understand her clients’ commercial strategy and requirements and tailors her intellectual property advice accordingly.
Esmé is very active and enjoys trying her hand at most sports, but her main sport is hockey which she plays for Reading Hockey Club. She is also a keen baker and is frequently trying out recipes for various sweet treats.
