James joined Gill Jennings & Every in 2019, having previously worked at another international Intellectual Property firm.
James originally joined the patent profession in 2014 and qualified as a Chartered Patent Attorney in 2019.

James works on a wide variety of subject areas in the software and electronics fields. James has particular experience working on inventions involving telecoms, optical systems and power circuitry.
James advises a range of local and international clients, from individual inventors and SMEs to large multinational companies, regarding drafting and prosecution of patent applications in the UK and Europe, and supervising global patent strategies. He also has experience of advising on compliance with technical standards, freedom-to-operate and patent oppositions at the European patent office.
James aims to provide concise and realistic advice in view of clients’ commercial needs and level of previous patents exposure.
In his spare time, James enjoys sailing and playing the piano.
