Katharine graduated from Cambridge University with a Degree in Natural Sciences specialising in chemistry.
Katharine joined Gill Jennings & Every in 2007. She qualified as both a Chartered and European Patent Attorney in 2011 and became a senior associate in 2014.
Katharine is an experienced UK and European Patent Attorney covering a wide variety of subject areas in the chemical and pharmaceutical fields. She has particular experience in pharmaceuticals, drug delivery, medical devices, polymer chemistry, xerography materials, growth substrates, insulation materials and semiconductor materials.
She works with a broad spectrum of clients, ranging from SMEs to large multinational corporations. She provides strategic advice tailored to the needs of her clients. She has extensive experience in filing and prosecuting European patent applications. Katharine frequently represents her clients at the European Patent Office in opposition proceedings, both in defence of their own patents and in opposition to their competitors’ patents. She also advises clients on infringement matters both in the UK and abroad.
