UK prepares for final Unified Patent Court ratification step

The final piece of legislation needed to allow the UK to ratify the Unified Patent Court Agreement has been laid before Parliament. However, the timeframe on UK ratification is still unclear. This is because Parliament will break for the summer in less than a month and the legislation has to be debated in Parliament, similar legislation needs to be laid before the Scottish Parliament, and each piece of legislation needs approval by the Privy Council before the legislation can be passed and the UK is able to formally ratify the Unified Patent Court Agreement.
