What attracted you to GJE?
Initially, the role attracted me to GJE. I had just finished university, and the role was exactly what I was looking for. During the interview process, I was shown around the firm, and I got to see how much of a supportive workplace it is, and the finance team were extremely friendly.
What do you enjoy the most about your role?
One of the things I love most about my role is the people I work with. I deal with expenses made by staff across the firm and do payment runs for it on a weekly basis and enter and monitor disbursement. The role is varied, which has given me incredible exposure over the years.
What emphasis does the firm place on wellbeing?
We have a great social committee that arranges various events throughout the year, which is nice as it brings everyone in the firm together and gives everyone a chance to get to know people you don’t work with on a day-to-day basis. HR organise wellbeing weeks where we do various activities each day, from massages to yoga and cooking lessons!
What are the people like at GJE?
The people at GJE are nice, and I have made some good friends here over the years. The finance team are a friendly bunch.
What would you say to someone applying to GJE?
Having worked at GJE for over seven years, I would definitely recommend it. Everybody gets along, and it is a friendly environment to work in. It is an excellent firm to work for, and I’m sure you would enjoy working for GJE too.
