George Horner

Trainee Patent Attorney

George is a Trainee Patent Attorney with experience mainly in the fields of physics, engineering, and computing.

George graduated from Durham University with a master’s degree in physics. His master’s project involved simulating emergency evacuations of crowds of people using physics-based models.

George works with a diverse range of clients, from start-ups and SMEs to large multinational corporations. His experience includes drafting of new patent applications, prosecution in the UK and Europe, as well as third party observations and infringement opinions.

Outside of work, George enjoys travelling, going to music venues, cooking, and adding to his houseplant collection.

George has particular experience in:

Prior to joining GJE, George worked for another leading private practice firm from 2021. George joined GJE in 2024 and is currently working towards full qualification.
