Chelsea Brown

Chelsea is a European and UK patent attorney in the IT & engineering team. Since joining the profession in 2021, she has gained experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications across the UK, Europe, and a range of international jurisdictions. With a background in physics, Chelsea has a broad technical understanding that enables her to work across diverse technology sectors.

Chelsea works with a range of clients, from start-ups to large multinational corporations, and tailors her advice to reflect their individual commercial needs.

In her spare time, Chelsea enjoys painting and climbing.

Chelsea graduated from the University of Manchester with a first class master’s degree in physics. Her final year project involved developing a deep learning model that could accurately segment breast tissue shown in magnetic resonance images as a first step towards assessing the effects of a chemoprevention drug on breast tissue composition.

Chelsea joined GJE in September 2021. She qualified as a European patent attorney in 2025 and as a UK patent attorney in 2026.
