Alexander is working towards becoming a fully qualified UK and European patent attorney. He studied at Oxford University where he received a Master’s degree in physics. His final year project involved building a Bragg spectroscopy device for measuring the properties of a gas of ultracold erbium atoms confined in a magneto-optical trap.
After completion of his degree, Alexander joined Gill Jennings & Every in 2020.
Trainee Patent Attorney
Alexander is a trainee patent attorney working in IT and advanced engineering.
Alexander’s areas of specialism are mainly in the physics and mechanical engineering fields. He has particular experience dealing with:
• Scientific apparatus
• Semiconductor devices
• Printing apparatus
• Optical instruments
• Energy and environmental engineering
He has worked with a range of clients, from individual inventors all the way to large multinational companies both in the UK and internationally. Such clients include a successful technology consultancy, a world leading toy manufacturer, and one of the world’s largest wind turbine companies.
In his spare time, Alexander enjoys playing the piano and has a particular passion for bouldering. While at Oxford, Alexander was part of the university’s competition climbing team, and has travelled to rock climbing spots throughout Europe.
