Stanley graduated from the University of Oxford with a first class Master’s Degree in Physics.
Stanley joined Gill Jennings & Every in 2015 and is working towards full qualification as a UK and European patent attorney.
Stanley completed a Master’s Degree in Physics studying a range of topics including condensed matter physics, optics and laser physics, and particle physics. His Master’s project focused on the application of graph theory to string theory.
Since joining the patent profession, Stanley has gained experience across the broad subject areas of physics, engineering, materials science and electronics. In particular, he has worked on inventions in the fields of security devices, telecoms, medical devices, computer-implement inventions, and devices for use in biochemical analysis.
Stanley works with a variety of clients, from start-ups and individual inventors to multinational corporations. His regular work includes the drafting and prosecution of UK and European patent applications, including attending oral proceedings at the European Patent Office. In addition to his regular work, Stanley has been involved in oppositions and appeals, along with working on Registered Community Designs at the European Union Intellectual Property Office. Stanley likes to explore the inventive concepts behind clients’ inventions and how these relate to their commercial interests.
In his spare time, Stanley can often be found training at his local rowing club. He also enjoys cooking and claims to be able to make the perfect American pancake.
