Luie is a Trainee Patent Attorney working in the IT & Engineering department. He works with a range of UK and international clients, all the way from startups to large multinational companies.
In his spare time, Luie enjoys baking, reading, and hiking, once spending 11 days walking the River Thames, from start to finish, for charity. He is also a big Aston Villa fan, who tries to attend Villa Park as much as possible.

Luie studied at The University of Manchester, achieving a first-class degree in Mathematics and Physics. His dissertation was on the topic of using Convolutional Neural Networks for jet tagging in the Large Hadron Collider.
He joined GJE in September 2023.
