Robert is a European and UK patent attorney in GJE’s IT & engineering group. He works with a diverse range of clients, from start-ups and SMEs through to multinational technology companies. Robert has experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications across a wide range of technologies, with a particular focus on physics and computer-implemented inventions.
Outside work, Robert enjoys playing the electric guitar, experimenting with new recipes, designing and building hobby electronics projects, and following a range of sports.

Robert studied at the University of Birmingham where he received a first class master’s degree in physics. His final year project involved simulating electromagnetically induced transparency in a strontium atomic beam for use in an optical atomic clock.
Robert joined GJE in September 2021 and qualified as a European patent attorney in 2025, and a UK patent attorney in 2026.
