Alex graduated from the University of Oxford with a first class Master’s degree in Chemistry.
Alex joined Gill Jennings & Every in 2017.
Alex is working towards full qualification as a UK and European Patent Attorney.
Alex’s Master’s research project focused on the development of novel methodologies for the synthesis of quinoline derivatives. Particular emphasis was placed on the use of photoisomerisation techniques to develop a mild, versatile, and efficient route to access synthetically challenging compounds. The aim of this research was to develop a methodology that could be applied to the synthesis of compounds with industrial, chemical, or medicinal importance.
In his spare time, Alex enjoys playing the piano, volunteering, and has also been known to reluctantly go for the occasional run.
