Alice graduated from the University of Cambridge with a Master’s Degree in Experimental and Theoretical Physics in 2013. She went on to complete a PhD in Experimental Quantum Physics at University College London.

Alice’s regular work includes drafting and prosecuting European, UK and foreign patent applications in a variety of fields, in addition to helping clients obtain registered design protection.

Main specialisms
Alice’s areas of specialism are mainly in the physics and engineering fields. She has particular experience working on inventions involving cryogenics, quantum technology, semiconductor devices and telecommunications.

During her PhD, Alice studied low temperature electron behaviour in two-dimensional molybdenum disulphide transistors. From this, she has experience with a wide variety of technologies such as advanced microscopy techniques, device fabrication and processing, and measurement systems including low temperature measurement systems.

Alice works with a range of clients including large multinational companies and SMEs based in the UK, Europe and further afield.

In her spare time, Alice enjoys playing the flute, singing, cooking and cycling, especially long-distance cycling on the back of a tandem.
