Kate graduated from Durham University with a first class Masters Degree in Physics.
Kate also has a Research Masters Degree from the University of Manchester in Theoretical Cosmology.
Kate joined Gill Jennings and Every in 2017, having previously worked at another London-based boutique firm of patent and trademark attorneys. Kate was also on secondment for a year working in house as a part-qualified patent attorney at a multinational defence technology company.
Kate works on a wide variety of subject areas in the fields of mechanical, electrical, and computer implemented inventions. She advises a range of domestic and international companies and is experienced in patent drafting as well as global and European patent prosecution.
Kate’s background working both in private practice and industry has helped her to develop experience of managing large patent portfolios and providing strategic advice in relation to patent licencing. Kate likes to get to know her clients and their inventions and understand what is important to them both commercially and strategically so that she can provide appropriate advice and help secure the relevant IP.
In her spare time, Kate enjoys cycling and playing squash.
