Philippa graduated from the University of Oxford with a Master’s degree in Chemistry.

 

Career History

Philippa joined Gill Jennings & Every in 2017 after working at another leading firm of patent attorneys for the first three years of her training.

Philippa has handled cases in a range of chemical fields and has particular interest in polymer chemistry, coatings and catalysts. She has worked with a variety of clients from start-ups to multinational companies, helping to align their intellectual property protection with their commercial strategy. Philippa has been involved in the drafting and prosecution of both chemical and mechanical UK and European applications and also has experience conducting freedom to operate reviews for infringement purposes and attending hearings before the European Patent Office.

Before joining the patent profession, Philippa obtained a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Oxford. Her Master’s research project investigated the use of sulfonated bis-imines in heterocycle synthesis.

Philippa is working towards full qualification as a UK and European patent attorney.
