GJE patent attorneys recognised in IAM Global Leaders 2027

GJE is delighted to learn that two of our patent attorneys have been recognised as leading patent experts in IAM Global Leaders 2027.

Peter Arrowsmith, a partner in our IT and engineering team joined GJE in 2016. His clients range from US and European multinational companies to high-growth businesses in the UK and Europe. His areas of technical specialism span software and machine learning, quantum computing, blockchain, telecoms and navigation systems.

Lucy Samuels, a director in our chemistry and life sciences team has over 30 years’ experience as a patent attorney. She is well known for her written and oral advocacy, having represented clients in over 500 opposition and appeal hearings. Her areas of specialism include pharmaceuticals, FMCGs and chemical engineering.

The Global Leaders are identified from among those who are already recommended in the gold tier in IAM Patents 1000. In addition, they have to demonstrate an ability to innovate, inspire and go above and beyond to deliver value for their clients. They are noted for their expertise in creating, protecting, managing, transacting and enforcing critical patent rights.

The announcement follows GJE’s achieving a “double gold” ranking in the IAM Patents 1000 2026 for work at the EPO and in the UK. In August Peter Arrowsmith was also recognised in the IAM 300 as a leading patent strategist.
