Benjamin Rodgers

Trainee Patent Attorney

Ben is a trainee patent attorney in the IT and Engineering department. His work includes drafting and prosecuting patent applications and involves managing IP portfolios.

Ben works with clients based in the UK, Europe, and further afield ranging from small independent specialists to multinational corporations.

Ben enjoys playing rugby, running, and going to the gym.

Ben’s areas of specialism are primarily in mechanical and electrical engineering, as well as software and telecommunications:

Ben graduated from the University of Bristol with a masters degree in physics. His final year thesis focused on improving the measurement equipment used in medical scans for diagnosis. Prior to GJE, Ben worked for two years as a trainee patent attorney at a leading European intellectual property law firm.

Ben joined GJE in 2025.
