David is a European Patent Attorney and works in a variety of subject areas including oil and gas engineering, telecommunications, electronics and software inventions.

David works with a range of clients, from multinational corporations to individual inventors, and is primarily involved in drafting and prosecuting UK, European and foreign patent applications across a variety of technologies.

In his spare time, David enjoys gardening, a bit of DIY, and spending time with his young family.

David graduated from the University of Oxford with a Master’s degree in Materials Science, in which his final project focussed on polymer-fullerene bulk heterojunction solar cells.  He also obtained a DPhil from the same institution investigating the mechanical and electrochemical mechanisms of protection coatings on aerospace alloys.

Before entering the patent profession David worked in the oil and gas industry, performing fracture mechanics analyses of pipeline welds and managing the integrity of the design, manufacturing and installation of subsea production systems.
