Laura is a paralegal in the firm’s trade mark team in the UK, and has been working in the IP profession for over 20 years.
Supporting the firm’s trade mark team, Laura assists with trade mark filing and prosecution, as well as post registration formalities. Laura has extensive trade mark experience, including involvement in all phases of UK and foreign trade mark prosecution, as well as UK opposition and cancellation actions.
She specialises in handling global assignment recordals across multiple jurisdictions and other recordal programmes. Laura has experience in carrying out research, due diligence and informal clearance checks, as well as setting up and monitoring customs and watch applications. In addition, she also reviews client’s portfolios, provides costs and advice on filing strategies to best fit the client’s needs as well as handling renewals.
Laura joined GJE in 2006 as a secretary before becoming a paralegal in 2018. Laura is a CITMA Paralegal having passed the Trade Mark Administrator’s course in 2014.
Outside of work, Laura enjoys spending time with her family and friends, keeping active through swimming and cycling and going to the theatre.
