Alistair graduated from the University of Bristol with a First Class Honours Degree in Physics.
He also holds a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary College, University of London.
Alistair worked for another leading private practice firm prior to joining Gill Jennings & Every in 2014.
Alistair has experience in prosecution of UK, European and foreign patent applications in a variety of fields including cryogenics, medical devices, oil and gas, optics, electronics, software and mechanical innovations. Alistair also regularly advises clients on obtaining design rights.
Alistair works with a range of US, Chinese, Japanese and European clients including multinational corporations, SMEs and individual inventors and has experience of working closely with inventors from a wide range of business to draft patent applications for their ideas and innovations.
Alistair completed a Master’s Degree in Physics studying many areas including semiconductors, optics and biophysics. Alistair’s final-year project involved investigating methods of generating energy from tidal creeks including testing power generation from salt water flows through magnetic fields.
In his spare time, Alistair is an enthusiastic photographer and enjoys travelling.
