Guy holds two Masters Degrees having graduated from Oxford University with an MEng in Engineering Science in 2013, and from UCL in 2015 with an MSc in Naval Architecture.
Guy joined Gill Jennings & Every in 2015 and qualified as a European Patent Attorney and Chartered Patent Attorney in 2019
Before joining the patent profession, Guy worked for the UK Ministry of Defence as a Naval Architect where his roles included supporting the Royal Navy’s Type 45 Destroyers and Type 23 Frigates, and assisting in the design of the UK’s Dreadnought class submarines.
An experienced Chartered & European Patent Attorney, Guy provides both day-to-day and strategic IP advice to his clients. In addition to drafting and prosecuting patent applications worldwide, Guy has experience in opposing and defending patents at the European Patent Office and providing freedom-to-operate, due diligence and infringement opinions. Guy tailors his advice to reflect clients’ commercial aims and their past IP experience.
Guy works across the engineering, medtech, software and telecommunications fields. Recently he has particularly enjoyed working on green and sustainable technologies as part of our advanced engineering group. He specialises in:

• food packaging machinery
• oil & gas infrastructure
• muscle training & monitoring equipment.
Guy also performs specialist work in relation to designs (registered and unregistered).
Guy advises a range of organisations from individual inventors and young startups to multinational corporations. His clients hail from the UK, Europe and beyond. Notable clients include a world leading banknote and passport manufacturer, a computer technology provider providing database, cloud and enterprise software and a market leading food packaging company.
Outside of work Guy enjoys running, reading, cooking and both playing and watching American football.
