As a European and UK Patent Attorney, Guy provides both day-to-day and strategic IP advice to his clients.

In addition to drafting and prosecuting patent applications worldwide, Guy has substantial experience in contentious matters before the opposition division and boards of appeal at the European Patent Office.

Working with clients who range from private inventors and early stage start-ups to large multi-nationals, Guy tailors his advice to reflect each clients’ commercial aims and their experience with IP.

Outside of work Guy enjoys running, reading and both playing and watching American football.

Guy works across the engineering, software, medtech and telecommunications sectors. Areas in which he specialises include:

Guy joined GJE in 2015 and qualified as a European Patent Attorney and UK Patent Attorney in 2019.

Before joining the patent profession, Guy worked for the UK Ministry of Defence as a Naval Architect where his roles included supporting the Royal Navy’s Type 45 Destroyers and Type 23 Frigates, and assisting in the design of the UK’s Dreadnought class submarines.
