Finn Brown
Trainee Patent Attorney
Finn is a Trainee Patent Attorney in the Chemistry and Life Sciences group working towards full qualification. He works in drafting and prosecution of European and UK patent applications for clients ranging from university spinouts to multinational corporations.
In his free time, Finn enjoys running – albeit not very quickly – and playing the guitar.

Finn graduated from the University of Bristol with a First Class Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. He went on to complete a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London, where he graduated with a distinction. His Master’s thesis focussed on utilising the SAFT-γ Mie equation of state to predict the solubility of small molecule drug compounds, enabling the rational design of therapeutic deep eutectic solvents in silico.
Finn joined GJE in September 2025.
