Chris graduated from the University of Sheffield with an Honours degree in Physics. He also holds the Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary, University of London.
Career History
Chris joined Gill Jennings & Every in 2013, after completing his university degree, and qualified as a European Patent Attorney in 2017 and as a Chartered Patent Attorney in 2018.

Chris has a diverse range of experience across IT and engineering fields. In particular, Chris has worked on cases concerning document handling, anti-counterfeiting devices, printing, geo-surveying, aviation and food packaging.
Chris has worked with clients of varying sizes, from individual inventors and small businesses up to medium-sized enterprises and large, multinational corporations. He has particular experience in the drafting and subsequent prosecution of UK and European patent applications and in the handling of contentious matters, including attending opposition proceedings at the European Patent Office and advising on infringement issues.
Chris is also a member of our designs team and has experience advising clients on registered design matters relating to applications in the UK and abroad. He works closely with his clients to better understand their IP needs and to ultimately maximise the value they obtain from their intellectual property.
Chris’s pastimes include photography and cooking, and he is also an avid fan of Formula 1.
